Laparoscopic Simulator

Simulation emerges as a complementary learning tool in laparoscopic surgery, by training in a safe, controlled, and standardized environment, without jeopardizing patient’s safety. Simulation’s objective is that the skills acquired should be transferred to the operating room, allowing reduction of learning curves. The use of simulation has increased worldwide, becoming an important tool in different surgical residency programs and laparoscopic training courses.

This project is defined by sina group which was designing the software package of this simulator and they wanted usto design a light, reliable mechanical scissors.

It consist of body, scissors, linear bearings and 3 sensors for reading angles.

Body was made with Thermoforming method, and other parts are made out Aluminum with CNC milling machine.
