GNSS Base Station and control boxes
Dez Novin Sanat (DNS) Company was established in 1998, in order to develop the mechanization and with the goal of producing required machinery for implementing the accurate and precision agriculture and for improving the scientific, technical and technological infrastructures in the machinery of road construction, mining, urban services and transportation systems, and also to develop the local and global positioning systems and resolving the environmental problems.
I joined the company on June 2019 and worked there in the mechanical design engineer position for 3 years. During my career in DNS, I participated in several design and development projects in the field of heavy agricultural machinery and precision agriculture. Some of them was the industrial design of some Base station and control boxes and packaging of electronic PCB’s in the box.
BASE STATION
These boxes first prototypes made with 3d printing and first set was made with aluminum extrusion and CNC milling and the final parts made with die casting aluminum.
Not only the aesthetic requirements were important, but also there were some consideration about heat transfer of electronic boards and packaging of battery packs and designing the interface like keyboard and LCD.
