Electric vehicle design



ParaxMotors is a spin-off company from QIAU university, started as a workgroup in 2008, and has became a company since 2014. ParaxMotors started researching on green vehicles by joining Iran machine design competitions, ”IMDC”

Later on, “YOOZ” electric quadricycle, from Quadro project became the first achievement of ParaxMotors to produce its first product. This was a 3-4 years project which I was the head of industrial design and mold designer of body parts in this project. It has almost 40 exterior and 30 interior body parts that are made from fiber glass , plastic or aluminum with different production methods from hand lay-up of composites to plastic injection molding or diecasting of aluminum parts.

Exterior and interior:

It has almost 40 exterior and 30 interior body parts that are made from fiber glass , plastic or aluminum with different production methods from hand lay-up of composites to plastic injection molding or diecasting of aluminum parts. the fiber glass molds are made with aluminum and have something like sliders for undercuts and some back structure fixtures for placing brackets.

Chassis:

-industrial production of main frame with 20 sets of assembling fixtures

-3 sets of rotary fixtures for welding purposes.

-Welding inspections based on ISO3834 standard

Suspension, steering and braking systems:

-Disc brakes for 4 wheel

-Full mechanical hand brake

-Front and rear MacPherson suspension system

-Durability and fatigue tests for suspension system parts

Power train and battery pack:

-Full electric power train

-Ability to charge with standard city electricity

-Li-ion battery pack with 7.3 KWH capacity and 48 V nominal voltage

-Controller with nominal voltage of 36-48 V and maximum current of 450 A

-Automatic gearbox and differential with reduction ratio of 1:9.23
