carton erector

Case Erectors are case forming machines that automatically form, fold and seal corrugated cartons from flat boxes. Case erecting systems remove the need for operators to stop packing products to build their cartons. These machines  are available in semi-automatic and automatic formats and can form between 6 cases to 20 cases a minute.

In this project we wanted a an automatic machine which forms 1 box every 10 seconds, but I designed it to form 10 boxes a minute.

it has 2 servomotors ,1 for x axis linear motion and 1 for cartoon hooper, where cartoons pushed throughout the end efector.

it also uses 4 penumatic actuators, 1 big one for rotating the end efector and folding the cartoon and the other 3 are for closing 3 side of the cartoon.

its x axis works at 1.5 m/s and it can erect 1 box and tape its bottom every 6 seconds.
